Sustainable Livelihood Programs

Poverty is not only a lack of income—it is a lack of opportunity. Noor-e-Shifa Foundation’s Sustainable Livelihood Programs are designed to equip individuals with skills, resources, and networks to build dignified, self-reliant futures.
Our approach focuses on economic empowerment through:
- Vocational training centers offering market-driven skills in trades such as tailoring, carpentry, handicrafts, IT, and more.
- Micro-enterprise support including small business setup assistance, financial literacy, and access to micro-credit.
- Women’s economic empowerment initiatives that provide home-based business training, market linkages, and capacity building.
- Youth employment programs to connect trained individuals with job placement opportunities in local industries.
Beyond training, we provide mentorship and ongoing support, helping beneficiaries not only start but sustain their income-generating activities. We also facilitate linkages with markets to ensure that products and services created by our trainees can compete and succeed commercially.
By doing so, we contribute to SDG 1, ending poverty in all its forms, and SDG 8, promoting sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth with full and productive employment for all.
