Basic Health Services
(Aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being)
Health is the foundation for every other aspect of human development. Without good health, education, livelihood, and social participation become increasingly difficult. Noor-e-Shifa Foundation’s Basic Health Services program addresses the urgent healthcare gaps faced by underserved populations across Pakistan.
Our work began with specialized eye-care services through SHIFA Eye Foundation, and over time, we recognized the need to expand into comprehensive primary healthcare. Today, we deliver:
- Free medical and eye-care camps that provide consultations, medications, and vision screening for early detection of preventable blindness and other illnesses.
- Preventive health awareness campaigns on maternal and child health, nutrition, hygiene, vaccination, and chronic disease prevention.
- Mobile medical outreach units that travel deep into rural areas, bringing healthcare to those who cannot access hospitals or clinics.
We work in partnership with qualified doctors, nurses, and paramedics, along with local authorities, to ensure safe, quality services. By focusing on both treatment and prevention, our approach not only addresses immediate medical needs but also reduces the long-term burden of disease.
In alignment with SDG 3, we strive to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for people of all ages—especially the most marginalized, who are often excluded from the healthcare system.
